This fine art photograph was taken in the McCullough Peaks Wild Horse Management Area in Wyoming, a place where the land is harsh, quiet, and honest, much like the horses that survive there. This stallion stood apart from the herd, his dark coat worn by the elements and his light mane tangled by wind and weather. He carries himself with a quiet intensity, the kind that doesn’t need movement or noise to be felt. Moments like this are fleeting. The horse looked up, paused, and then was gone, leaving only the memory and this image behind.
